Frequently asked questions
What does the output look like with a header row?
You get an array of objects, one per row. With headers name, age, city and a row Alice,30,London, the output is [{"name": "Alice", "age": "30", "city": "London"}].
What if my CSV uses semicolons or tabs?
Select the matching delimiter before converting. European exports often use semicolons, and tab-separated data from spreadsheets uses tabs.
How are quoted fields handled?
Fields wrapped in double quotes are parsed as one value, even if they contain the delimiter or line breaks. Doubled quotes inside a field become a single quote character.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Parsing and conversion run entirely in your browser, so your data never leaves your device.
What if my CSV has no header row?
Uncheck First row is header. You will get an array of arrays instead, with each row as a simple list of values.
Is this converter free?
Yes, free with no account, no file size limits in practice, and no signup.
